Here to guide you through your personal Menopause Journey.
The menopause is a completely normal event that around 50% of the population will go through, so be assured YOUR NOT ALONE. Officially menopause is when your periods have stopped (for over a year) but the term often includes the years leading up to this point, referred to as Perimenopause and for several years after is called Postmenopause.
As well as periods changing and eventually stopping all together, there are many other SYMPTOMS of menopause because these hormones play several roles throughout your body.
Most common symptoms are
* Hot flushes
* Night sweats
* Mood changes
* Anxiety
* Tiredness and insomnia
* Poor mental focus and concentration
* Memory problems
* Headaches
* Joint pains
* Low sex drive
* Vaginal dryness
* Urinary and bladder problems
There are many more less common but still very real symptoms.
I am a registered nurse prescriber with 20 years experience working in the NHS and private sector. I worked for the Liverpool crisis team, specialising in looking after patients with a range of mental health issues. I dedicated a lot of my time supporting women with OCD, PTSD, anxiety and depression. I also worked for the drug and alcohol service supporting people through an in-patient detox and rehabilitation programme. Throughout my time in the NHS my passion in women’s physical, mental and emotional health grew more and more but mainly due to my own menopausal journey, This is when I realised just how badly women were suffering and how hard it was to get a diagnosis, treatment and support. From my own experience and with my medical qualifications, I have set up a CQC registered clinic and undergone further specialist training from the top Menopause specialists. I want to help woman feel like themselves again, properly supporting women and their families through their menopause journey.
On your first consultation we will do a full medical assessment of your physical and mental health, assessing your symptoms and how best to treat you. We will then build a plan of care to meet your individual needs, provide support throughout and after care. Your care will include addressing your physical symptoms and relieving your emotional distress, helping you to enjoy life again.
We are here to guide you through this difficult time, holding your hand through every step of your menopause journey. From the moment you step inside our clinic, you're welcomed into our family, with treatments tailored to your personal needs and a safe environment to be able to open up and really be listened to, about what you need to feel like your self again.
